3 Day Shakeology Cleanse: My Experience

I received my first shipment of shakeology on January 11,
and I was so excited I was jumping up and down! For anyone who doesn't know what shakeology is, it is the healthiest meal replacement you will find! It is a glass full of superfoods from all over the world, a daily dose of dense nutrition! In November, I tried a 4 day sample of it and fell in love! It kept me full, curbed my cravings, made me feel energetic, AND I lost 4 lbs in 4 days!! Wow! So I very much wanted to try a month worth and finally got to order mine for the new year! I saw the 3 day cleanse being brought up and was exciting to try it. The 3 day cleanse is to clean your body of all of the unwanted toxins from bad food, pop, alcohol, smoking, or whatever else! The cleanse is strict. I have posted a picture of its meal plan and such here.
I started my cleanse on January 12. I weighed 119 lbs. I had a cup of tea and a shake with 2 cups of water and 1 scoop of greenberry shakeology and 1/2 cup of grapes for breakfast.
I had an Apple for my first snack and another shake for my second snack (made the same as the first). I w as s feeling tired, cranky, and blah all day, which is not normal for me on shakeology. I ended up eating 2 egg whites, 2 Turkey sausages, a piece  of bacon, and about a cup of potatoes for lunch. Joshua hardly gets a chance to cook now, and I chose to eat it and push my cleanse back a day. For dinner I ate a Jennie o Turkey hotdog on whole grain bread with 4 steak fries and 4 tator tots. I also drank 3 bottles of water on top of that and chose to have coffee because I had a headache. On the second day, I did way better at sticking to it. I had a shake with 2 cups of water, 1 scoop of shakeology, and a chopped up pear for breakfast. I had a medium Apple for a snack. I had another shake for lunch (2 cups water and 1 scoop of shakeology). By then I was again tired, short tempered, and I had a headache. I decided to see how I felt after dinner. I had a salad of lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken for dinner. It tasted delicious! Yet, I felt no better. This was not making sense to me because   cleanse should make you feel healthy and strong, not tired and grouchy. I talked to my coach, Jessica, about how I was feeling and what I had been doing. She said she  personally feels that way with the cleanse and doesn't like doing them. She said to listen to my body and that I may need to eat. I felt like I was giving  up, but at the same time I felt like the cleanse was doing me no good. The way I see it is that I eat pretty healthy to begin with and don't do many toxins. I feel like I do much better on my normal eating habits of fruits, veggies, protein bars, yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, Turkey, etc and drinking water and almond milk, along with a couple cups of coffee every day. I do not smoke or drink and very rarely eat fast food, fried food, or fatty desserts. So the cleanse is not erasing a whole lot of toxins from my body in the first place. My normal routine is: protein bar for breakfast, fruit for a snack, a hardy shakeology for lunch (with fruit, yogurt, ans almond milk), rice cake for a snack, and a healthy dinner. I ended up eating a cup of fritos and cheetos because I was craving salt, and I felt a million times better. So, with that said, I ended my cleanse there. On the bonus side, I did lose a pound from the cleanse, but it just was not for me. My conclusion for the 3 day cleanse is that it is not for everyone and to listen to your body! Today my hardy shake for dinner satisfied me, gave me energy,  and was delicious! Just what shakeology should do! By all means, everyone SHOULD try shakeology!  If you choose to do the cleanse, pay attention to how you feel and make the right choice.  If you're interested in learning more about shakeology, message me! My Story: Looking Inside Myself and My Journey To Find Fitness

When I was in high school, I was 110 pounds, 5'1" and had 38DD. It gave me excruciating back pains and daily migraines. I never exercised or wore clothes that actually fit me because of how self conscious I was. When I was 16, I had plastic surgery for a reduction. It completely changed my life! For one, I got down to 104 pounds. Also, I wore clothes that showed how beautiful I felt and didn't feel uncomfortable at all! I was able to do this up until I became pregnant for my daughter when I was 22. Since then, I have been living day to day tired and not loving my body. Right before I became pregnant, I was 108 pounds
and wore a size 3-5 jeans. During my pregnancy, I got to 142 pounds (34 pounds gained). I also had a c section, which made it more difficult to get back to my original shape. I know that this may not seem like a big thing to many, but to someone who has always been small it was very sad. With my job I was so tired, working 60-70 hours a week, I couldn't get myself to try anymore. I got more down about myself and finally hit rock bottom when I found out I was 126 pounds. I cried when I looked at myself and didn't like my own fiance seeing me naked. On top of that, when my fiance and I got together we both agreed that neither of us could get fat. Shallow huh? But that is the person we fell in love with, and we both felt it'd be unfair to change so drastically later on. He told me that he understood that pregnancy changes your body and knew it'd take time. Well almost 3 years later, I still hadn't gotten it. He even admitted he felt less sexually attracted to me. It hurt, but we are totally honest with each other. Also, I felt so tired that I couldn't play with my daughter for more than a couple minutes, which is even worse! This is when I found my personal coach and was invited to a challenge group. During this group we were there for each other to support and keep ourselves accountable in a safe and discreet group. In this group, I worked out almost daily for 21 days. I could feel myself getting stronger and could tell by my clothes I was getting smaller, but I only lost a couple pounds.
Then I used Shakeology and lost 4 pounds in less than a week! In a whole month, 6 pounds may not be big to others but it was HUGE for me! Besides, its not just the pounds you lose. It was the energy I gained, new friends I found, winning lifestyle and tips I now have, and feeling better about myself most of all! After my first month, I became a coach myself because I want to help others feel as great and beautiful/handsome as I do! Since then, I work daily to build strong relationships with people and try to help them find the same happiness in the lifestyle that I did!
